There are several threads here with people putting the mygig with navigation into their Jeeps. It is possible and fairly easy. That said. I have the mygig with nav and I think it's useless compared to my handheld. Can't use many of the mygig's features unless you buy the lockpik. I understand that it's almost impossible for it to have all the cities and streets in the USA in it's database. Everytime I go camping or fishing I end up using my hand held magellan because the mygig doesn't have the town or street address I am headed to. If I had it to do all over again I'd just use my handheld and save the money. If you're dead set on an in dash nav then one choice you have is to get an aftermarket one that can be upgraded. This way if it doesn't have your particular region you can up load and have all the streets, country roads and many unnamed backroads.

I have been using my Zumo 550 and have no complaints so far. It seems to get me as lost as well as the other GPS's out there!

Nothing like blind faith in a new GPS ;^)

"Turn left onto unpaved road"... of course I had to listen to the lady!

That being said, I really like having my Garmin Nuvi... I like that I can easily remove it and use it in our other Jeep, or even when walking around.

I use a Garmin GPSMap 60CSx. By purchasing the North American streets and the Topo DVD's, I can upload whatever region I'm heading to into it. What's great about it not being a "strictly automotive" system is that when I park the Jeep and grab my backpack to head into the woods for the weekend, I take it with me. You can purchase the automotive package for it and it comes with the North American streets DVD as well as mounts for the Jeep.

Doesn't have the sexy Brit and Aussie voices, but really, who needs another woman in the Jeep telling them where to go .

Problem I have with the iPhone is its operating system. I'm the Scoutmaster for a local Boy Scout Troop and I have software that I use constantly to update my boys rank requirements. I plug the phone in and it updates the desktop software. Problem is, it doesn't work with the iPhone's operating system. It's specifically for Windows Mobile.

I have several GPS:

ATT Navigator on my phone and it gives me audible turn-by-turn.
Garmin GPSMap 60CSx
Garmin Forerunner 405CX GPS watch with heartrate monitor
Garmin Forerunner 205 (getting ready to give to my son)

I also use several Trimble GPS products in my line of work.
