I'm pretty sure it's not possible. The MyGIG is the same unit used in other Dodge/Chrysler vehicles, and it's tied to the provided maps.

No it is not possible too load Topo maps on a 2007-2010 MyGig unit. This is one of the many reasons Chrysler is not using Navteq for maps on the MyGig anymore. They are now using a Garmin based radio from 2011 on.

Navteq is a horrible company when it comes to support.
Garmin has a much better reputation on support.

Default replacing the 2008 my gig with the 2011

My gps has been on the fritz lately it sometimes can't figure out where it is for as much as 4 hours at a time, I wonder if the thig is failing and it has dumped all my recordings several times, anyone know if the 2011 my gig can be a direct bolt in replacement for the 2008. Maybe I can get the dealer to replaces it and if i can does anyone know if the new units willaccpet garmin topo?

Unfortunately, Garmin just makes the technology, and they have nothing to do with the data. All consumer Garmin GPS devices still use Navteq data (as do most other GPS receiver manufacturers).

Mine has been doing the same for almost a year. I just had my dealership replace it with a brand new unit........it's STILL doing the same thing. They are talking with Chrysler now to try and find a solution. I used to be able to rely on the MyGig GPS 100% of the time, now it's like 40%. So frustrating!

At least with a lot of the Garmin Units you have the option of using the gpsfiledepot maps especially if you live in an area like I do that Garmin hasn't done or received much updated information for their maps.
