GPS Shows Wrong Position?
Lately my GPS has taken to getting my position off by about 100 yards or more resulting in it showing me on the wrong roads and giving me wrong directions. Unless those guys on the Columbia have been bumping the GPS sat's I think I've got a problem.
Is there a recalibration routine I can do or do I need to consider taking it to the stealership for some support? Anyone else have this problem?

About two weeks ago my nav crapped out while trailing a run. The pointer on the nav map kept going straight when I turned, then it would no longer recore trails.
This is the second stereo/nav unit in 1 1/2 years. The first issue was no audio.
My dealer said they had never seen this issue either time...
The new unit is doing well and working as it should.
You may need to take it in and request a new unit through warranty.

I average about 6 in most cases. What's strange is this always seems to happen when things are wide open with no tree or building cover.
My fear is I'll take it to the dealer, they'll say they can't reproduce the problem, and even if they can they'll try and blame it on my AllGIG.

My radio was doing this as well. It usually went back on course once the vehicle was shut off and turned back on. Then all the music files I had on the harddrive were lost. I took it back to the dealer and they asked a couple questions and once they found out that my Jeep was a 'early' 07 model the electronics specialist said that they would just order a replacement because the early ones had all kinds of problems. They were good about covering it under warranty but of course they said 3-4 days to order a new mygig with the same serial numbers that matched my vehicle and it's been a week and a half and the radio has not come in yet. He said that the nav software would be upgraded as well so both problems should be taken care of. We'll just have to wait and see I guess.
The GPS antennas are only $40 I have gone threw 2 so far. Have you updated the MyGig to the latest software v2.042? And the last thing I did to improve GPS signal was to relocate the compass sensor away from the GPS sensor. https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/jk-write-ups-39/how-improve-nav-signal-mygig-91660/
You can also relocate the GPS sensor to a different location by purchasing a extension MCX (micro coaxial) connector cable.
Also if you have the Daystar top dash panel do not put your cell phone up there at all. This will effect the GPS signal and the compass signal (if you sensors are still located under it.)

That's a shame on the replacement issue. Anyone wanna swap?
As far as the GPS issue, yes I have a Daystar upper. All that sits there is my sunglasses as I keep my cellphone in my pocket thanks to my uConnect kit. I'd heard of and see them them interfering with the compass but never heard of it impacting the GPS antenna before.
