Default ground for cb

I know I have read that most people are gounding their cb to the fire wall. I was just wondering that since the location of my cb is close enough to the battery, I can reach it with the original cb wires. shouldnt I just put the ground to the negative on the battery?

You should be able to just ground it right by the battery to the jeep just pick a screw on the side. That is where mine is and it works great.

You can ground it to the Battery, but there is a bolt on the pass. side about 8 to 10 inches in front of the battery that works very well and is very easy to use,i think there is atleast 1 wire grounded there from the factory

Default Short Ground

I grounded mine to the steering column. Halfway down the column, in the middle, there is a small screw. I put mine there and have had no problems.
