Default Halogen vs. Xenon

I"m not very happy with the stock headlights and would like to up grade. I'm looking at changing the stock bulbs for the SilverStar Halogen or changing the whole light out for the Delta Quad Bar Xenon. Cost is not the major factor more about how well the work and ease of installation. I ruled out the true HID mainly because of the more difficult installation and obviously alot more money.

What do you guys think? You have not stirred me wrong yet

i run hid's. love them!! i bought the delta housing and returned them. they suck!! the silverstar bulbs should help you. a cheap upgrade. northridge has new housings coming out and my guess is there gonna be way better than the delta's. save your $$ dont get the delta's. my opinion.

^^^ I second this. I ran IPF lens on my cherokee with both silverstars and HID. I would stick with silverstars with a H4 conversion and harness and it should be sufficient!

I ordered a hella harness, lens, and Osram 80/85W hyper bulbs. Can't wait to install them. (rather IPF, but already ordered hella, so...)

HIDs are great indeed, but the bi-xenon setup (hi/low) is a pain in the butt and causes problems. I had hid low beams on my WRX with projectors and it works wonderfully. HIDs also GLARE a lot and would not focus the light as well as a quality halogen setup like the one I listed.

I say get a halogen set up and HID offroad lights. Or get HID low beam bulbs and halogen off road lights.

I have Delta Quadbar setup on mine. It is junk. I will trash once I install the new kit from Northridge. Wouldn't even feel right selling the Delta's to anyone, they are that bad...

Im not opposed to that price if they are relatively simple and truely better. The HID stuff I looked at were complicated to put in.

What brand are yours and where did you get them?
