Headlight/windshield wiper
Anyone know how to set the headlight to come on with the windshield wiper. I don't have the EVIC steering wheel. I know you can set it with that. But is there another wY to set it?
Thank you.
Thank you.
I think your one of the 1000's of people miss-reading the new law.
It states the headlights must be turned on while the wipers are on. Not automatically turned on, just turned on.
Link to explanation.
PS; I have never heard of an auto that has the feature you described anyway.

I have done a little internet searching and there are autos that turn the headlights on automatically when the wipers are turned on to a certain setting.
I had no idea this was an option. There still are no states that require it, just that your headlights are on when it's raining.

I'm losing sleep over this same issue. It's so difficult to turn on the wipers with my right hand fingers and THEN have to use my left hand fingers to turn the lights on. I get so confused and sometimes I just can't do it properly. What's even worser is when I have to turn them off again.
Damn Jeeps....next time I'll buy a SMART car...better mileage and I'll bet it can figure out how to do this all for me.

If you don't find a way to do it, a ProCal will turn on the headlights as daytime running lights. You won't have to remember to turn them on with the wipers when it's raining.

True but that entails buying a tuner and also defeats the purpose of the 'lights on for safety' regulation. Daytime running lights are just dimmed high beam headlamps. Turning on the full headlight turns on the rear and side markers as well. during rain and low visibility conditions tail end collisions are the killers. Not head-ons.
Still need to use those 2 left hand fingers.
On a side note I'm pretty sure it's easy to set the JK up for full time daytime running lights without a tuner. They are mandatory around most of the world. I'd be checking my manual to see if it requires a flash for people that want it. Sure cuts down on people pulling out to pass when you're heading toward them. Mine came with it.

It doesn't seem to make them burn out any sooner.
