Personally, I would say its pointless. I had the same disappointing results before I ended up doing a projector retrofit. The only issue so far is having to remove them for state inspections!

wow i would at least think the cutoff is better? theres no advantages of puttiing hid's in e-codes than putting hid's in the stock housing?

It's marginally better, but you still have the bizarre hot spots and light scattered above the cutoff. In terms of cost, I wish I had gone HID retrofit from the start.
