Open up your owners manual to the fuse block map. Find a 10amp circuit that is labeled "ACC ON". Pull that fuse, install a Bussman fuse tap with the factory fuse on the bottom slot and a 3.5 or 5amp fuse in the top slot. The connector wire should be pointed to the front of the Jeep as the other side is the hot side (use a voltage detector to be sure). You'll then connect this line to the 12v+ pole on your switch in the cab. The rest of the wiring would be as outlined in the install directions that came with the lights. This method will bypass the requirement of hi-beams on and allow you to turn them on independently as long as the key is in the ACC ON or the jeep is running. Just be sure to use the proper wire gage and fuse size based on amp draw and length of run from batter to the lights. The12volt.com is a great resource for better understanding 12 volt wiring.
