Default Help with power inverter

I own a 2011 Sahara Unlimited with a built-in power inverter. Unfortunately these inverters are for small power items. I was hoping to use a full powered vac but will need an external unit which can hanlde more amps to do the job. Question is will any third party power inverter do havoc on the elecrical system of the Sahara even if power ratings are supported with the add-on inverter?

You'll need to work directly off the battery with an appropriate fuse and heavy enough wire. If you decide to switch it, use either a heavy duty switch OR better yet a high amperage relay controlled by a switch in the cabin. Keep all heavy power leads as short as possible. If you want the unit inside and need to run wires through the fire wall, be sure they are extra heavy STRANDED not solid house type wire. Wiring schematics for aux lighting will work here.
