Default help with stereo install

Hey everyone. I got a 10 wrangler unlimited mountain edition with infinity sound system, I am putting in an a/m head unit (kenwood ddx-514) and am having some troubles getting it to work properly! I finally got the head unit to turn on by running a turn on wire from cig lighter, now I can't get any sound from my speakers.. do I have to run a turn on wire from the speaker amp too?? Help

what Wire Harness Adapter Did you use?

I Have the 2010 as well and in order to get mine to work i had to use the - Metra Axxess CHTO-03 Smart Wiring Adapter with Remote Amp Turn On
http://retailer.installationexcellen...8-874984F176AE

Plus it wires direct - no need to run a wire to the Cig Lighter

I bought the metra chto-03 as well, you didn't have to do any additional wiring? Did you go colour to colour for wiring? Which wires did you not use?

nope No additional wiring - i went wire for wire, i think the only wires i didnt connect was the Blue/Pink wire - when you install everything there is a input adjustment screw on the side of the Metra Unit turn them all the way up (to the right) then back just a bit about 1/8 turn ...

Had the same issue and was like wtf!? Figured it out after looking @ the wire bundles....In order for the infinity amp 2 turn on you have 2 connect the blue (i think) wire from the kenwood harness 2 one of the other wires from the metra. I used a PAC so I connected the kenwoods amp wire to one of the other wires on the PAC.

i finally figured it out! it ended up being a faulty metra box, so i replaced the box and wired it all up again, and bam, it works great.... except one problem... when i am playing music now, the sound will randomly move from speaker to speaker, it will play fromt he back right, then all of them perfect, then play only from the front left. how do i fix this? the fade and balance all work fine, and its set at 0 for both. the i played with the setting on the metra box and it made changes to the volume, but did not fix my problem.. any help?

Sorry man I never messed with the metra. I didn't want 2 jack with gain levels so I used the PAC instead. Can you double check ur connections? Sounds almost like the wires not not constantly connecting and are cutting out on u

I figured it.out, I had my pre out set to sub by accident instead of rear speakers, its seems to have fixed my problem. Thanks for everyones help. Next step is installing 2 marine wakeboard tower speakers on my light bar for summer use!
