I had HID lights installed and all seemed fine until I noticed that the lights would flicker when I step on the gas at high rpm.

The lights are connected directly to the battery aside from the normal connections to the relays or ballast.

any ideas as to why they flicker? I also notice it a lot when I come to a full stop due to a red light and then hit the gas pedal to go when light turns green

strobe option?

check all your connections, sounds like one might be loose. when you hit the gas it shifts causing the flicker.

or maybe a bad ground?

 

Did you do this mod to the harness?

IF not this will remove the flicker...its caused from the CanBus system the jeeps have.
