Hooking up a clinometer
Hey all I just got a clinometer as something cool to put in the jeep (even though not sure how accurate its really gonna be). But got the one from smitty that has internal lights, and was not sure where I should be hooking it up to. I have not open the dash before but figured theres got to be some unused connections by the switches.
Anyone have some advice to opening the dash or where i really should run the wire?

Switched Power:
Use the included scotch lock connector to connect the red-yellow wire into the blue-violet accessory power lead that runs to the cigarette lighter connector. Note: do not tap into the aux power port on the passenger side. it is always on.
Illumination Dimmer Lead:
Use the included scotch lock connector to connect the blue-white wire into the orange-beige ilumination power lead that runs to the square multi wire connector that attaches to the AC/Heat controls.
That orange-beige power lead in behind your heater controls is what you want. That's what I used to splice into for the illumination on my ARB compressor switch, and it works beautifully.
