How do you take the cover off the pillar on the driver side of the windshield?

Default How do you take the cover off the pillar on the driver side of the windshield?
I am going to install a gauge on the pillar. Never took the cover off the pillar. Does it snap off?

1/2 socket and ratchet. Be carefule not to hit the glass with the ratchet.
