Default How to make it Loud?

Whats the easiest and best way to help my Jeep become loud to the point where i cant turn it up full blast without being annoying???

I have the stock X System and with the top down, it kinda sucks.

Id like to keep quality at high volumes tho.

Ive been looking at the kicker speakers that quadratec sells but i am not sure what else i should buy?

Do watts on the speakers give loudness? IS it a amp or deck that will make it louder?

Not too good with stereos so i would prefer a plug n play but if i can not accomplish what i want with a plug n play system that is okay too

thanks

no matter what speakers you add, if they are underpowered from the source (radio/amp) they will distort at high volume and eventual blow. if you want LOUD, you really want to swap out the radio, add a 4channel amp and sub amp.

so since i dont have the moeny to swap all this out at once, what order would your recomend doing?

Do they make decks that are high powered enough that you would not need a amp?

I think if you get a deck that has ~20 to 25 watts rms/channel plus a 10" sub/amp (~300 watts rms bridged). It'll give you what you're looking for. The key is to find a deck that has separate sub control so you can run just the mids and highs through your factory speakers and the lows through the sub. Good news is that your jeep should already have the wiring run for the sub, it's there on all models regardless of whether or not you have the infinity.

okay cool, would you recomend changing out my factory speakers first then adding everything , or just keeping the stockers and adding a subwoofer with a new deck then maybe eventually adding speakers?

I think you're stockers will be fine since you're only going to be pushing the mid's and highs through them. You might even try keeping the factory deck at first. My cousin ran this setup for awhile in his x and it sounded better than my infinity.

It'll send everything to the stock speakers, but you can turn the bass down on the factory deck and then turn the gain up on the sub's amp and get a similar effect. The amp will have a filter built in to take the highs and mids out.

My .02,

I installed a 10" Kicker L7 Sub woofer and a 1000W Alpine Amplifier.

It cost me $650.00 and my system is too loud.

I like bass, I paid for the above and got what I wanted + I am very satisfied.

You should do fine with stock speakers. Get 1 sub woofer and two amplifiers (One for Sub and one for the four door speakers) and you will be happy!

Don't forget people WILL steal/vandalize your jeep for your expensive aftermarket stuff....

hows the sound quality? Have you thought about replacing the stock speakers?

I have a 2 door and only have the soundbar and front speakers, does that mean i will only need 1 amp to power the sub? Do you have the factory deck?
