Default I am a CB newbie...

I have the firestik firefly antenna and a co-ax connector.... how do i make the connection?

Just ordered the firefly myself (in red) from cooltec, along with their mounting kit. Let me know how you like the setup, as far as your question: I too am a cb noob, so I will be watching this thread, LoL. Good luck

Which connector? they make two diferent ones. Also, which mount are you using?

i have the teraflex mount, and the connector is the 3/8" thread on the antenna with an RK-258 or something on the co-ax cable...

There are two types of connectors for the antenna. One is called a "Fire Ring" and the other is an SO239. Both attach through the mount and the antenna screws into it. You can go to this link for instructions on how to do the install.

I'd recommend looking around on the firestik.com site. They have a lot of good information on antenna systems and matching.
