Default Ignition Sticking

I've had my JK for 3 weeks tomorrow and twice now, when I go to start it, the key gets stuck in the start position and the started continues to run. I have to force it to the full off position.

Then later tonight, I tried to start it and it took a full 7 seconds or more to start. It's about 50 degrees outside so it's not too cold.

It goes into the shop tomorrow for minor stuff, so I'll have them take a look at it. Has anyone else had this problem?

Had the same problem on mine a week after I drove it off the lot. I took it back in and they replaced the starter.

Mine has done this intermittently since I got it. I thought that the flash I had the dealer do recently might fix it, but it didn't. It always starts, but it makes me a little nervous. I'm afraid someday it might not start when I'm out in the boonies! If you end up taking yours in, please post any info on what they think is causing it.

I took it in and they deburred my key because they said it may be hangng up. They flashed it at the same time. That was 2 weeks ago and it didn't do it again until last night. It was kinda embarassing to have people look at me like "WTF are you doing?".

Not overly pleased with the service dept at the dealer yet, but they are just as new to the vehicle as I am, so I can kinda understand.

Mine does that too. If you do get anything figured out I would like to know about it. It does seem like it hasn't done it as much as a few weeks ago.

Yeah, maybe these things go away with time. Mine hasn't done it much recently. Either it wore in, or they actually did something effective at the dealer. My ESP hasn't come on in 3 weeks either.
