The orange/white wire on the HVAC harness is the illumination circuit. There should be another wire in the footwells too you can access.

 

If you want a finished look and don't mind buying different, inexpensive lights (that are available in red), here's a link to what I did (and how I did it) to mount interior LEDs into the sound bar, pointing front and back. Maybe not exactly what you had in mind, but it may give you ideas:
