Default Interior Lighting

I was not happy with the lack of adequate interior lighting inside my 2013 JKU Sport, so I did something about it.

I bought 10meters of RGB+W super bright LEDs from superbrightLEDs.com along with a 4-zone remote control.

Zone one contains the under-dash area, the front seats and the rear seats.

Zone two is the rear cargo area. I have yet to start zone three which will be the under-hood area.

I've got an Interior Lights switch mounted on the console above the driver's and passenger seats. I'll show you all three switch panels inside our Jeep.

GREAT JOB - super results Tom !

Just out of interest, how did you wire in the under dash / footwell area ?

I'm assuming you left the map reading lights under the rear view mirror stock (a little hard to see - sorry)

Just starting my interior ligt improvement. also although not as in depth as you though.
Not enough light in the cabin?I miss a light in front of me so I got these two LEDs at tractor supply 5 dollars each and mounted them to my Plastic trim. Will wire these to the light right above my head so they will come on with the doors or light switch as normal.More pics to come when i finish..jim

Interested in this idea myself, so many cheap LED options out there to on Amazon. Just trying to figure out how I want to wire it, separate switch, into the main interior light switch circuit.

I am going to wire it in without cutting any wires!
connect the two Led positives together run that wire along the drivers sport bar under the padding along under the sound bar.. bring the wire out under the light lens remove one bulb.determine which contact is positive solder wire to a single sided circuit board and slip it in where i removed the bulb making contact with the positive contact!done...it should all work stock with no cutting of wires.jim

Positive wire harrness

I'm thinking I would like to have lights under the front dash both sides, under the front seats, and under the back seats. I found some plug play type led kits on amazon.

if you are thinking of many LEDs you would probably exceed the the fuse limit on the overhead light.instead wire it the same but to a relay and tap the 12 volt power outlet run through the relay to all the LEDs.jim
