Default IPF 968 windshield mount lights

SORRY if there's a thread or many on this already.... but having only an iphone to use it's sometimes hard to find threads I'm looking for.
Anyways any opinions on the IPF 968 lights mounted on the windshield. Any good? I won't use them a whole lot so I don't want to spend a fortune... heard they were priced pretty decent for what you're getting ( low to mid range for lights). Anyone have these? Like them?? Thx

I'm in the market too. Based on my research these lights are better suited else where on the jk. They cast a broad beam wich will light up your hood and cause glare. I'm going with piaa 945's although I like the looks and price of the ipf

I'm running this lights and for the price I think they are amazing... this is my first jeep and the first lights in the windshield so I would be able to tell you if the glare in the hood is a lot or just a little. But you do get some..
Hope tgis pic works if not I can take a better one tomorrow..

You also should consider the windshield mounts. KC's and others mount the light up high, while the Mopar Style mount the light low and away..

I've tried both and like the Mopar better as it moves the light away and low in the windshield, allowing a more unubstructed view.

Also on a recent night run, I pointed the windshield lights out approx 10-20 degrees off center

I have them on my bumper. They have a dual reflector which is supposed to make the light a combo fog and driving light. They do a pretty good job as a driving light. I would personally look for pencil/long range lights to mount to the windshield.

How bright are the 968's? Do you use the 100 watt bulbs?

The ones I'm looking at for the windshield mount come with 55w and bonus 100w too

I'm using the IPF lights on MBRP windshield mounts. I find them excellent and have not installed the 100 watt bulbs. hood glare for me is acceptable. great package, go for it.
