IPF Headlight Conv..
The connection is loose. I am currently waiting on the new pigtail to be shipped from ARB. I also think the green female connector from the Jeep has a piece inside cracked. So, I need to replace the connector. Also, there are 3 wires going into this female connector. Sometimes, but not always, wiggling the one black wire caused the bulb to cut off. Weird. Anybody have a part # for the green female connector??
I call them blue because when they are turned off and you look at the front of the Jeep, you will see blue reflected in the headlight. Turn on the headlights and you will see a hint of blue at certain angles in the light. Way too ricer for me.
I put the cheapest Sylvania halogen lamps in my IPF units and they color-match perfectly the stock lights. And they are so good now that I can barely detect when I turn on my off-road KC Slimlites. The IPFs are that good. But, get rid of the ricer look and use $20 halogen bulbs and you will be delighted with the performance. IMHO, this is what the upgrade kit should have offered from the get-go.

Something like the Sylvania SilverStar?
Do you mean did I use the Sylvania SilverStars? No. Sylvania actually makes five different bulbs that will fit--priced from $20-$60/pair at my local AutoZone (see comparison chart here: assets.sylvania.com/assets/images/masters/ProductComparison_Auto%206d116f89-f521-4e9f-9a82-6e31053c9567.jpg). I bought the cheapest ones; the "Standard Halogen". They, with the IPF headlamp assemblies, are a monster improvement over the stock lamp assemblies and bulbs. As I wrote elsewhere: With these bulbs on bright, I can barely tell when I turn on my 100-watt KC Slimlite driving lights. And on dim the view of the road and sides is outstanding. I really don't understand why anyone wants expensive, funny-colored light bulbs, but, hey, it's their Jeep.

No idea. To tell the truth, the blue isn't really all that blue--you just see hints of it now and then, both in the daytime and at night. So, I'm not even sure if by "blue" they might mean something even more blue, and what I received was the "white". LOL. Probably not, but give David a call--he'll set you straight. For the time being I like my answer. The IPF headlamp assemblies are really a great upgrade if you do much night driving.
Got mine today
Had upgraded the stock with the Philips bulb and was never happy. I have to use the fogs just to see the road. I drive alot at night and in the rain. Got the blue because David said that was the right one and I plan on getting the fogs. Color does not mean to much to me as long as I can see far enough in front to feel safe. It may be a bit like a sound system and audiophile...my hearing has never been that good. I just turn the radio on and listen to the music. I will try to put them in this weekend but any improvement from stock would be worth it.
Mark...Is the bulb you are now using more efficient or did you switch to match the fogs' color? Are your fogs stock or will you be getting David's replacement?
Thanks David for getting these out so quick.

I switched purely to match the fog light's color. I think you will be quite delighted with the stock IPF lights with any color bulb--their reflector is a huge improvement over the stocker, no matter what bulb you use. With mine on low beams, I can barely tell whether I have the fog lights on or off.

Since I will be getting the fogs when they come out I guess I did the right thing. Looks like I have a big weekend planned with the lights Tuffy security deck and switching out the tops. May not do the top as we have another week of hard rain, sleet, and hail with low temps. May not have enough "Heat" to put on the new ( unstreched) soft top. I may still give it a try.
