iPod control question
I have the RES head (with Sirius) with the uConnect module and the iPod cable. It all works as expected except if I select an "Album" and start playing the songs in that album and then go to "Artists" and select a different artist, it shows it has changed to the "new" artist but continues displaying the "old" song but the new artist. Anyone seen this before? I am using a 64 gig iTouch if it makes any difference.
Thanks in advance.

Changed the question a little. If anyone is using their iTouch with the RES radio and the 82212000 uConnect iPod cable, I'd like to know if everything works the way it's supposed to. Everything else in the uConnect system seems to work fine. The radio seems to not be able to correctly control the iPod although it does "see it" and you can play music and select podcasts etc. It just doesn't seem to want to select artists or albums correctly and I'm not sure where to look next. It's a 3rd generation 64 gig iPod if that helps.
Thanks!

Thanks!

UPDATE:
I deleted ALL music from my library and added in one CD. It played fine and I could address it either by artist or album title. Kept adding until I found one that wouldn't work. I have NO idea why some CD's will play and others will not. Even a song I downloaded from iTunes won't play. Weird. I'm about out of ideas. The non-playing CD's will play fine in the CD player, just not through the iPod.
Some of them I can play if I get to it by album title but the same CD will not play if I get to it by artist.
Any ideas???

I wish I could help but I'm having problems too.
I have the RER and it won't see my IPod at all (kind of)
My Ipod is actually a IPhone 3GS. UConnect sees the phone very well, unfortunately, it sees all of the contact lists that the phone has access to (work, yahoo, gmail, etc.). When I try to voice dial, it gets confused if there are multiple records for the same name.
As far as the AUX connection, it doesn't see the device at all. I'm using an Apple USB cord into the USB port. I get power to the IPhone, because I get the beep and the charging indicator comes on, but the AUX selector is grayed out.
Also, I tried to scan a cd to the hard drive, and it seemed to scan, but when I went to the hard drive, there was nothing there.
I think I need to spend more time with the manual.

Thanks for the reply anyway. I have spent FAR too many hours on this and I'm convinced there is something in the software (hopefully in the iTouch software) that will hopefully get updated some time and fix the problem.
I thought I could fool it by making some of the albums into "playlists" but that doesn't work either. It definitely appears to be something embedded in the albums themselves and apparently a conflict from album to album. I can delete all but one album from the iTouch and it will work fine. When I start adding others, I start to find that some it could find to begin with now it won't play even thought they are listed.
Interestingly the AUX cable works fine. I think I'll stick with that until somebody comes up with a fix.
Thanks again and good luck with yours.

Anyone know if this "problem" could be because the Starscan was "out of date"? In other words, when they Starscan the vehicle, do they always connect to the factory computers and get the latest or might it be that there was an update that addressed this issue?
