Default Jeep JK audio Video interior upgrades advice...any pics

I think I want to spend roughly $1500 on my JK and upgrade my factory stereo on my sahara giving it some deeper bass and better sound from the sound bar speakers (those things sound terrible) and would also like to add 1 or maybe 2 rear head rest TV's/Monitors. Curious peoples thoughts, ideas, recomandations etc.... anyone cut in and add some TV's to the head rests's or did you buy the set up already mounted or other? Any pics would be great..... Thanks....

I just installed my Alpine head unit tonight and wow the stock speakers really woke up. Cant wait till tom. when my 6.5's go in... You can actually hear the rear speakers now even when rolling with the top off. My opinion is get something double Din because the Metra install kit looks kinda crappy in my opinion.

Wow.. not to be rude.. but that just sounds silly in a jeep.. (just my personal thoughts.) but If wanted to put all that stuff in my Jeep... I'd never take the top off... so I'd put that stuff in a hummer/land rover before a jeep.. b/c I like to ride topless (jeep top that is).

I think the biggest trick to upgrading the Jeep's sound is keeping it stock looking so no one gets any ideas. My friend had a TJ and had after market subs mounted to the wheel wells (Don't ask me, because have no idea what he was thinking.), they were really obvious and he was fine with the hard top on, but within the first week of having the top off (or soft top on, can't remember), his speakers, head unit and entire CD book were gone.

I'm not overly thrilled with the sound in my JK, but I'm trying to figure out the best way to upgrade without drawing attention to it.

Like so many things....Adding More Power Will Improve Performance!

You could drop an amp in uder the seat or behind or under the dash and the stock head Unit and speakers should be much improved.

I replaced all my speakers, added an amp, added a second amp with a subwoofer, and left the factory deck in. It's loud, clean, and the bass is boomin! All for under a thousand.
You would never know it sounds as good as it does by looking at it. The amps are under the front seats and screwed to the floor. The sub box with the two subs is behind the back seat and matches the black so it blends in nicely. It is also secured to the floor.
I have my top off all the time and don't worry about getting anything stolen because it would take a hell of alot of time and effort.
