Default Jeep Trail Guide GPS - Feedback Needed

Hello,
I have the opportunity to snag one of the JK Jeep Trail guide GPS units. Can anyone shed some light on whether it is at least an acceptable unit as compared to me using VZ Navigator on my Verizon blackberry? The unit is under $400 and I certainly think it looks cool, but I hate to buy something that is a complete dinosaur with limited updates and or support. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Default trailguide

you can find a few reviews on here about it, I did a brief write up
https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/show...min-TrailGuide

After having it for some time now, I will sum it up like this:

-It looks good
-It seems a bit slow, loading and tracking nothing serious, better or as good as your BB
-upgradeable maps
-screen is a bit small compared to other units
-I like how the information is displayed, it is accurate
-speaker can be crazy loud and clear
-very usable outside the jeep, 20 hr battery, mounts for mountain bikes, boats etc.
-overall the system is dated and lots of new better stuff out there, but looks better than anything on the window shield

you got a great price I would mount it up and don't worry about it

Thanks conroejk. Pulled the trigger and it's brand new to boot. Time to start reading up on the unit. Thanks again!
