BTW I have keyless entry, so I need to do the second method.

On a side note the remote start seems to work fine, the jeep just shuts off after 2 seconds because it doesnt detect the sentry signal since we couldnt program the box.

still no go, I've tried everything, it just refuses to go into programming mode. I do have the hypertec programming installed, maybe this is interfearing somehow??

I guess I'll be making a trip to the dealer.

Are you watching the light or counting, put the first key in count 5 seconds, put 2nd key in count 15 seconds, put empty key/bypass in count to 15?

Sorry man. Its a PITA.

Removed Hypertec, tried it again, still a no go, tried it 4 times

Following what the book says and what is said here. I cant see why I wont go into the mode, it is not chiming or anything like the book says its suppose to do. The light just says blinking on the 3rd insert, doesnt stop after a minute, doesnt go solid or anything, stays blinking until the key with the chip/module is removed.

I tried another rfid chip from another bypass module just to see if maybe the one i had was defective and it still wouldnt program. Tried to start the jeep and it just died.

Dealer says they wont warranty it because if both keys are starting the jeep then the jeep is working fine apparently? I dont see what that has to do with programming, my friend installs these all day long and says he never came across one so problematic.

Man i dunno, you can try the grey headed key method. How many keys do you currently have programmed. The jeep has a limit of 4 RF IDs i think.

Are you holding the bypass screw side to the key cylinder?

Dont feel bad tho, chryslers are the worst remote starts ever. Try moving the module in a circular motion around the key cylinder slowly. Sometimes it can be so dam picky. Sounds like you are doing it correctly tho.

If on the 3rd key cycle the only transponder chip near the key cylinder is the bypass module, and it isnt accepting it, but the light is flashing, either you have the wrong bypass, it has an obstructed view (try taking the module apart and only using the circuit board), the chip in the module has already been programmed to another vehicle, or your vehicle has all of its RFID slots filled, and you will need to have the dealer clear them all and reprogram the ones you want to keep. Good luck and let me know if you need more help.

Thanks man I appreciate all the help.

Yea I only have 2 keys, I just cant tell if its actually going into programming mode.

When I take out the second key the security light goes off, when I put in the blank it starts the blinking process again.

Do you recall your jeep chiming or the light going out after the programming was done, seems like mine just stays on.

I hate to pay $100 to have this done but I guess its going that route... Going to call a few more dealers and maybe try to find a locksmith that has a starscam tool. I cant justify $100 for 2 minutes yet they offer me an oil change for $29.99 with oil.

$100 man, itd almost be cheaper just to get another key made, just a grey headed one and bury it under the dash. Just use your current bypass for the MUX activation and a key in box solution for the rf part.

No mine, and most of the ones ive done, never do chime or do exactly as the owners manual states. I just keep trying until it takes. Sounds like yours is being a bear tho.

Always glad to help if i can
