Alright, so heres the issue, its an intermittent problem that I have had on and off for about the last four years. The cluster will ding, all warning lights come on, speedo, and rpm both go to 0. Engine will continue to run, though I lose throttle position control. I have rectified this problem before by cleaning grounds, and that's the way I have been approaching it this morning. So far I have cleaned the ground from the PCM to body, and the grounds from TIPM to body. I even have a spare TIPM that is configured to the vehicle and is a known good unit that has been swapped in. This time, I cant even get an OBDII scanner to link up. It has power, just no comms on the CAN. It is also a new battery with 12.22 v on it.

Questions.

Does anyone have a isometric diagram of grounds? I have the line diagrams, but they doesn't give me any idea to the location of grounds.

Has anyone experienced this before, if so, what did you do to rectify it?

Does anyone have a functional description of the CAN Bus? I'm talking model specific functional descriptions. I know the theory behind it.

I narrowed it down to a short in the sway bar actuator.
