Default KC brackets with HID

I really FUBARed up a custom H3 HID install on my KC Daylighters. They have been trashed.

Now I got mounts and I want to install HID lights with a long range beam. My concern is that the lights with the HID will not fit and will hit the windshield? Anyone can chime in with a list of HID lights 6" or below that will work on the KC windshield mounts?

I do not want a custom job. I want to buy lights that already have HID. Tell me the ones that you KNOW will work. I do not want to spend the money and find out it doesn't fit.

I am thinking lightforce 140HID or 4" HIDx. Not sure if they will fit or not. (want lower than $300 for a pair)

I like the 4" HIDx but I see that individual lights come with a harness for it. Do I have to run two switches to run these lights?

Okay. I think all the questions make people scared to answer or confused....

Here's what I want to know....

What HID long range lights will work with the KC windshield mounts? Or are there any external ballast lights out there?

EDIT: I want a long range light!

Did about 7 hours of web browsing (slow day at work) and came across a new favorite.

6" Eagle Eye HID Internal Ballast lights. They seem really functional for the cost. And I know one forum member wrote a review with good praise for these lights. They look like they could fit my windshield brackets too.

Any other thoughts?

Patience will pay off. A lot of people don't read the electrical forum.
