I'd say about 1.5X brighter and covering an area about 3X larger. I set my 6" slims off to each side and aim the rallys ahead just barely offset. That gives me a good 90 degree field of light that with my low beams and fogs on, covers from my bumper to way (sorry, no way to measure) further than my brights go.
