Default Keeping fade/ sub control with new headunit (infinity system)

Been searching through the forum trying to find an answer for this but I haven't found an anyone with a work around to this issue. I recently installed a pioneer z140bh headunit on my '12 Sport equipped with the factory Infinity system. As others have posted I lost the ability to fade back to the sound bar speakers but I also lost the ability to control the factory sub (it works but I have can't turn it on/off or adjust the level). The new headunit is hooked up with a PAC C2R-CHY4 harness and has a PAC SWI-PS for the steering wheel controls.

Admittedly I'm a newb to replacing car stereos especially wiring, but am handy and know how to follow directions... is there a way to restore fade and sub control? I'm assuming I would have to bypass the factory amp but would I then have to install a new amp to power the system? The overall sound is definitely better than with the stock HU but I would like to be able to fully control the whole system and really dial it in. I know this won't solve this particular issue but I'm looking into to replacing the tweeters and roll bar speakers so any advice from the audiophiles out there would be appreciated.

Well the cheapest way to get fade would be to wire the rear mids directly to the head unit. Now you could get an amp to power the infinity sub, but if you go that route you might as well get an aftermarket sub...

Aftermarket HU deserves an aftermarket 4 channel amp if adding sub make it a 5 channel. Bypass that infinity or just throw it away, you will have 10 times better sound and be able to control the bass with a bass control if the HU doesn't do it. That being said I really don't recommend the bass controller they fail and most people crank them to the point of blowing there sub. Food for thought

Thanks for the input. To wire the rears directly into the HU would I just snip and connect the corresponding wires going into/out of the harnesses connected to the amp? Would that affect the amp's ability to power the other speakers? I'd be willing to just trash the amp entirely, but not sure I'm ready to go through rewiring the entire system just yet.

That's why when you tune your system you do it with the bass knob all the way up on the highest volume you ever turn your headunit to then you adjust your amp so that the sub is being pushed to what you feel the most comfortable with that way with your system cranked and bass knob all the way to 11 your at the limit not over it.
