Default Kenwood in-dash navigation

Hello fellow jk'ers.
I am considering getting an in-dash navigation system with bluetooth capability installed and was hoping you could share your thoughts. I looked through the forum and the info has been helpful. So based off of that, I am looking at Kenwood models because I really like the garmin navigation system. However, I read in other posts that there are some issues with the DNX line overheating in the winter (when running the heat) so I am looking at the DNN line. I was hoping you could give me some feedback on either the kenwood DNN990HD or the Kenwood DNN770HD. Or if you have other suggestions for in-dash garmin nav systems with bluetooth I would love to hear them.
Your words of wisdom/warning would be greatly appreciated!

Hey I am using a Kenwood DNX6190HD on my 2013 JKU I had it on my 2010 and installed it myself on my 2013. The wiring remained the same from my 2010. I did have it installed the first time on my 2010 all I did was transfer it. I have had no issues with the Kenwood DNX6190HD. I use my Bluetooth with a DROID 2 have a 64GB usb loaded with ripped cds and mp3 as well as video from iTunes downloads and have no issues. I have it set up with backup cam and dvd play at any time. I do not regret the purchase works great.

Thanks so much for the reply 2010jksaha! I was seriously considering the DNX6190HD until I read about the heating issue. It's good to hear that a fellow new yorker uses it without any problems. Do you drive it much in the winter here? Thanks again!

Yeah I sure do I do a lot of driving winter and summer. I even drove down to Texas this past winter and to Buffalo NY frequently. Maybe I got lucky with my unit but I have not had any issues. Lets just say I purchased my 2013 in October and already have over 15k on it. I ran my 2010 to just over 40k in 2 years.

hahah that's awesome!! I love it when people actually drive their vehicles! My 2010 is already nearing 50k. Thanks again for the great and speedy reply. I will certainly reconsider the dnx's.
