Default Kicker Upgrade in 2011 2dr

So I want to do the upgrade but everything I've read only goes to 2010.

Is anything different on the 2011 ?

Pull the speakers and make sure there 6.5s still. The sound bar did not change, so get a pair for the rear. While you have them out check for the fitment up front and the plug and play fitment..... If it fits order another set. Even in the 2010s it's tight on the drivers side! Good luck.

Procedure I followed for replacing speakers in my 2011 Sport. I just did mine a while ago following the below instructions. It took me about three hours to do all four speakers and the two tweeters. The replacement speakers I used were 77Kick10's and the Tweeters are JW-JKTWEET's. I purchased all components from Quadrartec. The instructions that come with the speakers for the front dash are more complicated than need be. Instead of removing 6 bolts per side, there are only 3 on passenger side and 4 on driver side. Also, there is only one under-steering wheel panel to rotate down, and none on the passenger side. For driver side, just remove panel below steering wheel, remove four 7 mm bolts, remove side panel, bend dash panel out (don’t worry panel will not break), remove two speaker enclosure side (brass) bolts and remove bottom (third) speaker enclosure 10 mm black bolt. Unplug speaker box and remove it. No big deal at all. It's better to pull the entire speaker enclosure to replace the speaker. Reinstall just reverse process. Passenger side was even easier. Remove glove box door, side panel, and two 7mm bolts and one 10 mm black bolt. Bend panel outward, remove speaker enclosure as above, and slide box out. Sound bar speakers replace the same as previous models using T15 Torx bit. The Tweeter replacement was easy following the detailed instructions that came with the tweeters. The sound is much better than the factory speakers. No distortion at higher volumes versus stock. Highly recommend this upgrade. I can now hear the radio even on the freeway with all windows down! Just one more suggestion, stuffed the sound bar and front speaker enclosures with poly fill before installing the new speakers. This will make the bass sound better.

I looked at Quadratec but didn't see the dash speakers. How much did it cost you? Do you know if they have anything to upgrade the sub box? I'm not a stereo wiz and want to upgrade a bit without cutting splicing and tearing my current system to pieces so I like the fact that what yuo are talking about is plug and play.

I paid $262.98 for all the speakers. I found the Kick 10 speakers were going for $65.00 for a pair at another site and Quadratec match that price. The 77 Kick 10 speakers work for both the rear sound bar and front dash speakers. They are true plug and play. The tweeters due required some splicing but the instructions are clear. I'm not a wiz with doing these upgrades and I found it easy to do, if you do a search on this site for 77 Kick 10 speakers you will get all the info you need to do this upgrade and it is worth it.

I'm not happy with the quality of sound from the soundbar. My fronts sound fine to me. With a stock headunit, will changing the sounbar speakers and/or filling the plastic with polyfill make a noticable difference?

I think I'm gonna try adding some polyfil first and see if that helps improve sound quality.

The factory speakers.... Non infinity are like paper... Spend 60-65 get a set and a
Bag of poly fill. I did not poly fill my sound bar.... It now rattles and air pushes out the dome light! I will be poly filling it asap.

Thanks so much wow what a response.

I ordered my kickers last night on eBay from Steve White Jeep in North Carolina I think I paid 62.99 plus shipping bought me a spiderweb ultramesh top and some grab handles so this should get me by for now. Polyfil ? Don't know what it is but I'll look it up. Thanks so much for the directions. There is nothing for the 2011

Get a old pillow and use the stuffing, works great and cost nothing.
