Is anything different on the 2011 ?
Everything is the same EXCEPT location of the Infinity AMP... It's now located/mounted vertically behind the driver side front speaker box. PITA to get to... but not too bad.

I did the Kicker Amp upgrade and have replaced all of my speakers. No problems and the Kicker Amp upgrade made an amazing difference, paired with the 6.5" speaker upgrades.

I put a thread out a couple of months ago with step by step and photos of the amp replacement. just search my username.

Has anybody used baffles, like these from Crutchfied:

instead of filling the sound bar with polyfill?

Do they control the airflow behind the speaker as well as polyfill?

I got polyfill from Walmart for 98 cents. You can replace speakers all day but if they aren't getting any power, there is no point. Either get an amp or a new head unit. An amp or good stereo will make bad speakers sound a million times better but good speakers on a poor stereo are a waste of money. Imo

I agree, speakers only play what is amplfied, so if your source is of poor qaulity, even good speakers sound bad.

I tried the 77Kicker46 upgrade in my 4dr and it made a difference, but still had issues driving sound bar speakers since it still went through stock wiring. I since replaced all speakers, wiring, and amps (already had a new HU). Used a Kenwood amp to drive a JL sub, and the Rockford-Fosgate Punch amp to drive the fronts and rears. The latter is a great little amp that fit perfectly in the stock Infinity location under the steering wheel of a 2010 (pic shows it next to the Kick upgrade amp). The result was finally what I was after: a completely tunable sound system that really sounds good.
I put the Kick upgrade amp into my son's 2dr, along with 4 of the Kicker speaker upgrades. It sounds good, but sound bar is practically dead.
