Kicker Upgrade in 2011 2dr
Thanks so much wow what a response.
I ordered my kickers last night on eBay from Steve White Jeep in North Carolina I think I paid 62.99 plus shipping bought me a spiderweb ultramesh top and some grab handles so this should get me by for now. Polyfil ? Don't know what it is but I'll look it up. Thanks so much for the directions. There is nothing for the 2011

Wow!!!! What a huge difference. I followed jjbroze instructions exactly to the tee. Heck it was easier to replace the drivers side than the passenger side. For some stupid reason the speaker box on the passenger side gave me trouble going back in but it only took a few minutes moving it around and bam they were done. Total time with jjbroze instructions was 20 minutes. Thanks a bunch
Now the soundbar

I paid $262.98 for all the speakers. I found the Kick 10 speakers were going for $65.00 for a pair at another site and Quadratec match that price. The 77 Kick 10 speakers work for both the rear sound bar and front dash speakers. They are true plug and play. The tweeters due required some splicing but the instructions are clear. I'm not a wiz with doing these upgrades and I found it easy to do, if you do a search on this site for 77 Kick 10 speakers you will get all the info you need to do this upgrade and it is worth it.
Thanks.

Thanks.
Suggestions from Crutchfield....
"I recommend the Polk db6501 components for the front. These are great sounding speakers - especially for the kind of music you like. And they're certified for marine use so if you get caught in the rain with the top down, no problem! (Well, at least not for the speakers.)
Then the matching db651S coaxial speakers for the sound bar location
The components handle up to 100 watts RMS & the rear speakers up to 55 watts. Something that falls a little in between is a good choice."(amp)
This Kenwood amp is an excellent choice. It's enough power to give you good performance from the components without overpowering the others."

"The factory amp will still be in place (it just won't be powering the factory speakers), so it will still be driving the factory sub."
Just thought I would share.
