Default "Kill" Switch For Electric Fan

Ok, I'm not sure how the whole electric fan works on my 2011 Rubi JKU but I do have a general idea; temps get up there and fan kicks on.

For deep water crossings I would like to add a "kill" switch for the electric fan so it doesn't come on while in the process of fording deep water. I know I would need a rocker switch and was thinking about the daystar ones.

I was hoping that someone on here would be able to give some insight as to what colored wire leading from the fan I would have to splice into to install the "kill" switch? Or is this even possible? Would I have to run a power wire to the rocker switch from the fan or battery?

Any help y'all could give would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Probably just two wires going to the fan motor. It doesn't matter which wire you choose. Just pick one. Cut it into and splice in a switch. The trick is going to be: Not forgetting to reingage the switch.

I did this on my 2007 after killing 3 fans, but later figured out the main problem was trying to clean off the radiator when it was clogged with mud, the water spray then was what was killing the fan. Started just pulling the whole thing out and cleaning by hand and no more problems with the fan. Then I just decided to stay out of the deep water and mud as much as I used to.
