Default LED Bar sound dampning

Hey guys, I tried searching the threads but couldn't find anything on this... I recently installed a BD OnX7 cell LED bar on my Rubi, and love it! The only problem is the whistling it makes at high speed. Has anyone had any experience with what I can do to reduce the sound? Was thinking about looking into the sound dampening roof headliner by Rugged Ridge? Does that really help much? Any other suggestions would be great! Thank you!

Here's some pics of the light!

What your hearing isn't whistling, it's a humming from the wind passing over your heat sync fins and causing them to vibrate and sing.

$4 fix.....

Homedepot or lowes will have a door seal weather strip. It's a soft foam adhesive coated on one side strip that comes in 10' coils. I used 1/2" and shoved the strips in between the fins. This stops the fins from vibrating an NO It won't over heat your light.

Happy trails!

Had the same problem on my light bar and the weather stripping in the fins stopped it

I had the same issue, I cut the rubber pieces from the mounts that came with light bar, they were like 1.5x1.25 inch rubber, into .25 inch strips and inserted them into the fins. No more noise and free.

Hey Guys!!
I am so new to this, I literally just created this to ask the same burning question.
Except I'm wondering does the weathering strip help with the rattling/shaking that the led bar makes?
I spent a little more $$ to try the door trim solution that I read about and the noise went away maybe 98% but the rattling and shaking is still there!
It's unbearable and its a shame because the light bar looks SO GOOD.

You shouldn't have any rattling or shaking. Are you sure your mounts and bar are bolted down tight? Whats the brand of light & mount?

There should be no rattling or shaking from the lightbar itself, I would check the mounts and make sure all is tight. Do you have a pic of the setup?

The shaking is horrible. Rattles the whole front of the windshield. :(
