I had a headlight go bad so I went to the parts store and bought some led bulbs. They say for fog lights only but I figured that was just legal talk. I installed them last night and the are bright but on dim they don’t cast much of a “cone” of light. Did i install something wrong. Maybe how the lenses sit in the ring? Or do I just take them back and get regular bulbs and save for a nice set?Any advice would be appreciated thanks!
Not familiar with those specific bulbs, but I installed a set of Katana LEDs in my Frontier and they had to be clocked a certain way to provide the correct pattern. The headlight housing itself also has a large impact on the pattern, and the JK headlights might not have a suitable design or shape to provide a suitable pattern with LEDs. I considered the drop-in LEDs for mine but haven’t seen a lot of positive info on the results.
