Default LED Lightbar Experience?

Hi Everyone,

One of the future upgrades I am considering is an LED lightbar.

I would think that the longer that I wait, the lower the prices will go.

Does anyone have experience with LED light bars (or replacements for headlamps)? Any words of wisdom?

Thanks

Jeff

I've also got LED windshield lamps, and with those, they offer different light output patterns, but with the bars, I've only seen what equates to a flood of light.

I'm a big believer. I'm just waiting for the company I use to develop a headlamp replacement that's LED as well.

It's not a light bar, but I have the Baja Designs LED lights on my front bumper, and they are super bright. I don't have night shots, but take my word for it.. BRIGHT! I also prefer the color temperature of the light, it's much more white than yellow.. if that makes sense.

Here is my setup.

that is a rediculous amount of light coming off the front of your jeep... dont have to worry about hitting a deer I guess just flip the switch and vaporize the thing.... any pics from the cab with the lights on?

No offense, and I think this goes without saying but that is way overkill. I guess I don't get the purpose...must be one of those 'because I can' things. If so, I can respect that, but still - why not spread the light around. Use some in the back or below.

yeah the gigantic lights on the fenders is overkill, but other than that looks awesome!

As for under or behind? Well, I don't do rocks during the day, so I can't see why I'd need lights underneath, and I have no reason to flood light behind the jeep either. I do mostly light trail and just open meadow / desert type driving offroad, and these lights work great for that.

And don't worry, no offense taken. We all do different things to our jeep. I have no issues when people don't like a mod, or mods, I've done. I see stuff all the time that I think is pointless.
Very cool - I figured it was. If I had a wad of money for a bunch of HIDs I probably would do something crazy like that too

How do you like the light the HIDs put off vs the LEDs?
