You only have problems when changing blinkers with the wrong bulb. It's just built in the circuit that if you have less resistance i.e a burnt out bulb (open) the blinkers blink faster (hyper blink) to inform you to change the bulb.

I was intrigued with the reverse LED's. I bought some 3157W bulbs from autozone made by jamstraight (coincidence that the op of this post is JAM85?). $27.99. I changed just one first for comparison purposes. Ehh. Then waited until dark and checked again. Ehh.
It's an easy swap, 5 minutes max. I would describe the light as "whiter". I'm not sure it does much for rearward visability. I put them in my 08. I also have a 2012 so when I have 2 helpers I will park both jeeps side by side to compare.
Maybe these are low quality bulbs but I kept my incandescent bulbs and depending on the results of the side by side those may go back in? I guess I would only recommend these if you already had to replace a bulb anyway. Other brands may be better?

figures, those were the ones I bought too and don't look nearly as bright as the OPs are from eBay. thinking if swapping all my rear bulbs with these. anyone know the brake light/turn signal number bulb?
