Default Lets see pics of your IPF H4 Conversion kits!

Whats up guys & gals. I'm undecided on what route to go with as far as lighting. I would like to see what the IPF headlight on a silver (or any color) JK, daytime and or nighttime. Also is there an hid kit that will allow me to retain both high and low beam, and are the stock housings easy to aim if I do go hid? Has anyone done Hid for low beam and a windshield mounted Led ( like a rigid industries D2) for High beam? Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

Marty

see the LED / HID post in here, LED is NOT the way to go for any high beam long distance lighting. HID is a PITA in the wranglers. I had to take mine out....

I have read that its dam near impossible to get useful light out of an Hid kit with our JK's. I'm going on a road trip from Wisconsin to Florida in June so I want something dependable as well. I don't want to be swapping ballast on the side of the freeway.

Looks good!

Are the bulbs that come with the kit pretty bright? I'm looking for something between 5 & 6K. with maybe a hint of blue.

No problem led is great for close up lighting. Not so much for long range.

I've been really happy with my IPFs. Big improvement over the stock buckets with H13s. Good cutoff. I think I am running my second set of bulbs and opted for something with less blue than what came with the kit originally.

Blue seemed kind of ricer so I wanted less of it. If you read up on Daniel Stern's recommendations for lighting he has some guidelines as to why blue is not a good colour for visibility.

I've never dealt with the guy directly. Is it the product he recommends or just his opinions that should be avoided? Just asking.
