Default Light Bar Noise

Just installed a 52" light bar on my JK and all is fine. However, there is a lot of wind noise and whistling coming from the light bar. Any suggestions as to a good way to help this or silence it?

Others might have a different opinion, but my experience has been this is directly related to the mounts. Some mounts hold the light up higher than others. You might have some people say that it's due to cheep lights, but I can tell you that I have a cheap light I throw on from time to time, and i have some cheap mounts that hold the light a little lower than most, and it doesn't whistle.

I did a lot of trial and error to eliminate the noise. I tried the filling the fins and reposition the light up down tilting it all over. Each step did produce results to fix the whistle or the wind noise but never both. I finally used a piece of aluminum and secured in the top slot between the fins. It was a snug fit but I riveted in place once I was sure I was happy. I have no noise now and and don't have high end mounts or light. I like the aluminum "wing". It also shades the windshield from some of the sun.

I used black silicon on the sides and then between the top three fins. No more nose.

Default Light Bar Whistle

Tried the fix Ripa777 and it worked fine. Easy to install and it worked the first time. Put the molding on the bottom four fins and the top fin. No more whistle.

Dang, those are almost half the price of a cheap 50". I'm going to stick with my original comment that this noise is mainly dependent on how how each particular mount holds the light. Mine is just a cheap eBay mount and it happens to hold the light a decent bit lower than in dodicoach's pic. Mine is more level with the roof line. I dont have it installed currently or I'd attach a picture. I have zero whistle at all. I think the mounts are just hit and miss; however, if you do have the whistle you can obviously stop it with this other solutions.
