Default Light Question

I'm considering buying some lights and mounting them at the corners of the windshield. My question is...what's the pros and cons for Driving, Long Range, or Fog?

Driving Beams Mounted on A-Pilar
Pros: Higher mounting position from DOT standard means longer range.
Cons: Moderate hood refelction may distract driver.

Long Range Beams on A-Pilar
Pros: Good long range.
Cons: Some hood glare.

FogLights on A-Pilar
Pros: Not recommended
Cons: Maximum hood glare. Very distracting for the driver. Not useful at all for inclimate weather.

Thanks JK-Ford. So which one you think would have less glare on the hood from A-pillar? Long Range or Driving?

The Long Range will have the least amount of hood glare.

X2. Go with the long range, or pencil beam pattern.

Ok. Thanks guys. Plan is for Long Range at A-pillars, fogs at bumper and maybe driving on a grill guard.

Excellent advice above. Scroll down on this ad for KC lights, it has the best and clearest light pattern diagram I've seen : www.realtruck.com/kc-hilites-daylighter-lights/]KC HiLites Daylighter Lights | Off-Road, Driving & Fog Lights[/url]
