Default Lightforce Harness

I have installed a set of Lightforce 140's on my windshield, I bought the Lightforce wiring harness as well. The instructions call to splice a wire into the high beam switching wire of the headlights. What is the purpose of this? Will the lights only work when the high beams are activated? or won't work when the high beams are activated like fog lights? I don't have a whole lot of electrical knowledge but am learning as I go. Anyone installed a Lightforce harness and can give me some more info? It also says that some manufactures use the negative circuit to activate the high beam and if thats the case then the wire that splices into the high beam gets plugged into the relay instead

I am also using a ARB type switch and don't exactly know how to wire it to get the LED's to work properly, does anyone have a diagram for these type switches, I think it has 4 connections with 2 LED's. One LED comes on when the driving lights are on and the other turns on when the switch is engaged I believe.

I installed these as well with the Lightforce harness. Very simple as I am electrically illiterate. You can wire the brown (to high beams) wire straight to the positive on the battery and it will turn the lights on and off with just the switch. I ran into the same issue and called my local shop to steer me in the right direction. They work great.

Ok, so I kind of just set it up on my floor and got everything figured out. I wont be incorporating the high beams in to the circuit. I will instead be running this wire from the positive terminal to power the switch. Does this need a fuse? Can I splice this wire right after the fuse in the harness?

They will only turn on with high beams if u wire it that way, I just ran the wire direct to a hot spot, like battery or another place that has power all the time... this way u can turn them on anytime, even with the jeep not running, here is a picture of the HIDs

You can splice it if you want to but there is no need. Just put a connector on it and bolt it onto the positive battery terminal. Like I said I am this when it comes to electrical but once I laid it out it was very easy. Once you have everything connected test it out and make your wires are nice and neat and you're good to go. Just make sure they aren't resting on anything that gets hot (exhaust, etc.)
