Default lighting problem

I just installed a pure jeep bare bonez bumper and a smittybilt winch, the bumper came with light tabs on top of the bullbar so i went out today and bought some pro comp driving lights . I mounted the lights on the bullbar and wired them to the stock wiring harness for the fogs since i wasn't using the stock fogs . The Pro Comp lights are 55 watt . I wired it all up turned on the headlights then pulled out the switch for the fogs , well...the driving lights came on for a brief second then they went off, tried again same thing , then, nothing.....are the Pro Comps to high of wattage? do i have to run a relay?...(self proclaimed electrical idiot)
