Default Lights and Wipers come on randomly....

Hey JK forum,
The day after thanksgiving, I woke up and looked outside and out on the driveway, my JK's headlights and wipers were on and moving without the key in the ignition. I disconnected the battery and jumped it, and everything was fine. Now, the same thing happened last night, headlights, wipers, and now the tailights are on too. So now, I disconnected the battery overnight and reconnected it this morning and charged it up. When I went to try to start it, nothing happened. Nada. So now I have no working jeep and have no idea whats wrong. Im thinking its possible that I got water into somewhere I shouldn't have. But that would have been months ago so why is this happening now? Has this happened to anyone else? Any solutions?
Thanks.

Strange. My engine died and lights wipers came on. Researched and it seems to be TIPM problem. Did it one other time, then pulled TIPM and cleaned all connections and reseated fuses/relays. Didn't seem particularly dirty, but problem has been gone for six months now.

when i was muffling the door ding on my jk I unplugged the wire harnesses to the instrument panel pod (where the speedometer and other gauges were) and when I went to plug them back in one by one... my dash lit up like a christmas tree, my wipers went on etc etc...

It stopped when i got the wire harnesses all plugged in.

I have a similar issue with my 2012 JKU. Wipers randomly start for no reason while driving. Then I started getting the left front blinker bulb out warning. Then the check engine light came on. Took the Jeep in to the stealership. TIPM is grounding. Seems they knew about this, and are replacing it under warranty. And, they are fixing the recall for the transmission line. Should get the Jeep back today.

Default Thanks

Thanks for the replies. Ill try cleaning all the connections/relays. if that doesnt work Ill probably take it to the dealer. If anyone else might have anything else to try before I take it in, that'd be great. Thanks again

Discovered my battery had a loose ground. Didn't know why I didnt check that before. Tightened that up, charged it up, and it started fine now. Hoping that was the problem.
