Default Limp mode???

My battery died and I jump started it and let it idle a bit then went to drive it around to let the alternator work. While driving, the jeep was super sluggish and took me a good half mile to get up to around 60. Drove it in to "Oreillys" to get the battery and alternator tested. Alternator was fine, battery had a bad cell. I asked the dude why after I jump started it did the jeep still run so sluggish. He said when something's wrong like the battery, the jeep and most cars will go into a "limp mode" so u don't fuck things up further. never heard of a limp mode or that. Anyone else?

That is correct. New vehicles are more sophisticated than your parents vehicles.

Mine has went into limp mode a few times after upgrades. Every time my codes were cleared and I adjusted my settings with my AEV procal. You may have to take it to the dealership and have them reset everything.
