IT WORKED!!! THANKS TO user:RENEGADELT1's helpful insight.. the install went perfect.
And the GPS works great.

This proves it - YOU ABSOLUTELY DO NOT THE EXPENSIVE harness to tap in and make it work.
I was able to do the install with a $5 Jeep harness I bought off ebay. A $20 Metra dash kit
and little bit of eblow grease, some patience & the help for RENEGATELT.

Feel free to PM me if you're having difficulty installing a DOUBLE DIN GPS and I'll gladly
share the info on where to get the parts and what to expect.

Bill

Congratulations Bill on locating the VSS lead It’s kind of hard since it does not enter the cab and is only located in the engine compartment unless you pay the bux for the converter box that pulls it from the CANBUS, with a little patience and labor Your up and running

I still think it'd be easier with the harness....but hey, that's me.

great job renegadeLT1. That is def the VSS needed for GPS. That makes aftermarket units much more feasible.
