Lockpick help needed, please
So I installed my Lockpick yesterday as per the instructions.
I'm having issues with it working properly, or maybe I missed something.
The video is not viewable when in motion, it shuts off as it normally would. Also the navigation input is not working while in motion, and the u-connect can't seem to "hear" anything. When I push the button and try to say a command, it just acts as though the mic isn't even there.
Can anyone shed some light onto whats wrong or what I'm missing?

When you set the "dip" switces was the unit completely unplugged? If not then you need to unplug it then set the "dip" switches and then plug it in. I made that mistake when I was activating the rear view cam.
I set them prior to plugging everything in, but maybe something got moved when I was putting the unit and wiring behind the MyGIG as its pretty tight quarters back there!?!

I just installed my lockpick last week, had a little trouble, then I discovered my cables weren't all tightly pushed into place. I ended up putting the actual lockpick unit in the space behind the glove box to free up some of the space behind the stereo, I think when I pushed everything back in there the first time, the stress on the cables might have been what pulled it loose.
Mine came from the factory automatically enabling the video-in-motion, and I had to go through the steps in the manual to set up the 2x-power-button trick, but maybe yours is the other way around. Like jumpnt said, maybe this is your problem. Whpony96 also has a good point. I'd completely unplug the box, reset the dip switches, and then try again.
After relocating my lockpick box to the space behind the glovebox, I feel more comfortable, especially after adding the A/V harness and the microphone, because it was WAY too cramped in there for me to get the stereo back into place.
I don't have any issues with my microphone, I mounted it up on the A pillar in the hole at the top that gives access to that bolt. Everyone seems to hear me clearly, and it recognizes my commands about as good as any other voice-recognition technology I've ever used (which is, well, fair). Where did you mount your microphone? I'd think if it was too close to a speaker or out where wind/road noise could get to it, it might not work as well.
Also, my microphone only seems to respond to the exact commands that I give it. For instance, phone book. It isn't going to recognize "contacts," only "phone book." You know, whatever commands are shown on the screen as options. If I give a weird command, it doesn't usually do anything at all. Also, you have to make sure you wait for the beep to prompt your command. If you talk before this, it won't recognize it.
I'm sure most of this you probably know, but I'm just throwing it out there.
