Default Marine (Boating) grade speakers

Anybody looked into putting boat speakers in a JK? maybe even a boat stereo? they are water proof so I was thinking that would be good, the next time I get caught in a sudden south florida shower.

Best Buy had a bunch of marine grade speakers locally here and I was wondering the same thing.. They even had some that were not white in color.. In the past and currently I just use normal Audio replacements but have used silicon filled wire nuts to ensure no water gets into the connection.

Look forward to some opinions, pics etc here.

FYI "Marine" speakers mean Water "Resistant".....not Water "Proof". Big difference.

Well who is constantly having their speakers under water? Go with the resistant ones. Good enough 4 rain hitting them if you 4 get 2 put the top up

They're more like "resistant" to moisture due to weather conditions, like humidity. Not rain.
