Default metal tag frame?

Does anyone make a replacement tag frame that is metal instead of plastic? Sure would like to put an antenna there, but I don't think that the cooltech plastic mount is as good as it gets.

Like to go to some heavy metal, to mount a flex whip.

TIA as always.

i have the cooltech mount, its not plastic its steal. it mounts through a bolt on the inside of the plate holder and attaches to the jeep, not the holder itself.

Wow, OK. Is it a 3/8 thread, and are you limited to any particular antenna ?

I need to mount something with a little bandwidth is why I am asking. It won't strictly be for CB. But, there'll be a switch inline, and when I am using CB, that's the type of radio I'll be using.
