Default Mount light bar to cowl

I've searched the forum and the almighty internets for info on this but I can't find anything. I'd like to mount my 20 inch light bar to the cowl area in front of the windshield wipers. I found a picture of another jeep where this was done. The owner said that he fabricated support for it so that mounting it would not warp the thin metal. Would this be necessary? If so, what is the best way to do so? Thanks for your time.

Easiest? Drill 2 holes and secure it with a nut and bolt. Probably just had some metal strips and put them on each side facing to the front and rear of the Jeep to secure it better. idk
