Default music format help

I have the mygig system and was exited to load the songs from itunes that i have collected over several years, the problem is the songs are protected. Does anyone know an easy way to unprotect them or make them playable on mygig? i dont want to mess up my itunes library as myself wife and kids all use the same library, i simply want to load the song i want onto a flash stick and load onto mygig

can burn the aac's you want from itunes and then rip them through itunes or another program as a .mp3. Just make your selection under preferences -> importing on itunes. Everything I keep in itunes I keep in a mp3 format.
Hope that helps I haven't bought a song form itunes in quite some time.

In iTunes burn and Audio CD.

Then with that CD you can do one of two things

1) import directly into MyGig
2) import back into iTunes (this makes the music unprotected) Then you can burn an mp3 cd and import into MyGig.
